20 New Sources of Life in Uganda – Thanks to the Good People of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Diaspora

In 2025, with the support of our generous donors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora, we dug an additional 20 wells in the African country of Uganda.
These wells now provide the most precious gift – clean water to people who previously had none.

A well is not just a hole in the ground!
It is the smile of a mother who no longer has to walk kilometers under the scorching sun.
It is the laughter of a child when the first glass of clear water is filled.
It is life.

The cost of building one well is 2,600 BAM, and through our partner organizations in Africa, drinking water is supplied to communities suffering from a lack of water sources due to droughts.
The wells are equipped with a hand pump and collection trough, and are dug manually, often reaching drinkable water at a depth of about 10 meters.

These wells play a crucial role in the daily lives of the local population, providing them with essential needs for drinking, irrigating crops, and watering livestock.
