30 July: World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

Human trafficking knows no borders — it exists here, among us.

👀 In our communities, among children and youth, often silently, through the internet.

Exploitation does not always begin with force.
⚠️ Sometimes it starts with a message;
⚠️ Sometimes with a compliment;
⚠️ Sometimes with a new “friendship” or “opportunity”;
🎭 And that is when it is hardest to recognize.

🕵️‍♂️ Digital predators use:
🧑‍💻 fake profiles
🧠 emotional manipulation
🔓 access to personal information
… to gain trust.

And once they have it — control, isolation, and exploitation begin.

❗That’s why we MUST NOT stay silent.
👧🧒 Children, young people, and all of us must know:
🤝 No one is to blame if something happens to them.
💬 No one is alone.
🔍 Recognize the risks.
💡 Knowledge saves lives.
💬 Talking empowers.
🛡️ Prevention is everyone’s responsibility.
