The Yunus Emre Institute Sarajevo and MFS-EMMAUS organized a special concert of Turkish and Bosnian music today for the users of the Duje Reception Center, presenting the musical tradition and aesthetic expression of these two cultural spaces to the audience.
The concert featured performances by Turkologist and musician Mehmed Kukuruzović (vocals), master ney player and professor at the Conservatory of Turkish Music of Istanbul Technical University Idris Melih Berse, musicians and composers Mirza Redžepagić (oud) and Sanel Sabitović (guitar), as well as percussion professor Faruk Karasalihović (bendir).
Works from different periods and styles of Turkish and Bosnian musical heritage were performed.
The audience enjoyed beautiful melodies and the sounds of instruments that many had not often had the opportunity to hear live, making the concert a special and unforgettable experience.
After the concert, the guests, together with representatives of the Yunus Emre Institute Sarajevo, toured the Duje Reception Center.
We would like to thank our dear guests for their visit, the warmth they brought with them, and for creating a special atmosphere that made this day more beautiful and fulfilling for our users.
