Last night in Ankara, a presentation was held of the project “Strengthening the Capacities of Civil Society Organizations in the Diaspora and Supporting Assistance to Vulnerable Groups,” implemented by MFS-EMMAUS with the support of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, in cooperation with the Bosniak Women’s Association “Zambak” from Türkiye.
The project presentation was organized in the form of a roundtable discussion, attended by representatives of MFS-EMMAUS, the Assistant Minister of the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, Mr. Nisvet Mujanović, representatives of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Türkiye, as well as dozens of successful women from academic and professional circles—members and associates of the Bosniak Women’s Association gathered around “Zambak.”
During the meeting, the project goals, planned activities, and expected results were presented, with a particular emphasis on strengthening the institutional and organizational capacities of civil society in the diaspora and improving support for vulnerable groups. Participants highlighted the importance of networking, exchanging experiences, and the active involvement of women in social and development processes, both in the diaspora and in the homeland.
This event once again confirmed the importance of cooperation between institutions and civil society organizations, as well as the vital role of successful women in strengthening ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosniak diaspora in Türkiye.
