In response to an identified need and thanks to our longstanding and exceptional cooperation with the University Clinical Center Tuzla, we took on the responsibility of renovating the milk kitchen at the Pediatric Clinic.
Aware of the importance of proper conditions for the youngest patients, and with the support of our friends and donors from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we managed to secure the necessary funds in a very short period of time.
Today, the renovated kitchen was officially handed over for use, which will ease the stay of children at the clinic, improve meal preparation, and ensure a higher quality of nutrition.
The Pediatric Department hosts up to 70 patients, and for the youngest ones, between 40 and 60 milk-based meals are prepared daily for infants, along with an equal number of soft meals (dietary and prescription-based).
Through its humanitarian efforts, MFS-EMMAUS supports people of all ages, but we are especially sensitive when it comes to children and youth. That’s why we are truly pleased to have been part of yet another meaningful and noble initiative.
“We always look for good reasons to help. The needs are great, and we can’t always help everyone, but food is reason enough. That’s why we decided to support this initiative, which was brought to our attention by MFS-EMMAUS,” said Marty Stafford, Director of LDS Charity for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
