Spring Planting Support for 50 Orphan Families

In the past weeks, MFS-EMMAUS successfully distributed seed packages to 50 orphan families across various regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project was implemented in collaboration with our partner organization Yetim Vakfı, with the goal of supporting families in preparing their own gardens for the spring planting season.

The packages included potatoes, onions, various types of vegetable seeds, and fertilizer, and the distribution was carried out on-site in 14 cities and municipalities: Gračanica, Doboj Istok, Doboj, Kalesija, Zavidovići, Zenica, Vitez, Novi Travnik, Travnik, Gornji Vakuf, Bugojno, Konjic, and Mostar.

Through this initiative, we aimed to empower mothers and children by giving them the opportunity to meet part of their food needs through their own efforts and gardens.

This project represents a concrete contribution to the economic self-sufficiency of orphan families—especially in times when the cost of basic necessities continues to rise.

And the impact is already visible: gardens have been planted, and the first photos from the field are arriving—featuring smiles, seedlings, and hoes in hand!
