As part of the continued activities of the project “Strengthening the Capacities of Civil Society Organizations in the Diaspora and Supporting Assistance to Vulnerable Groups,” representatives of MFS-EMMAUS, the Bosniak Women’s Association “Zambak,” and the Turkish humanitarian organization IHH visited a complex located in the former orphanage in Reyhanlı.
The complex is now managed by IHH and houses a primary school predominantly attended by orphans from Syria who are currently residing in Türkiye.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the school administration, teaching staff, and the children themselves, during which discussions focused on their needs and the conditions of their education.
The delegation also visited several socially vulnerable families in the local community. On that occasion, food packages were distributed as a concrete form of support and solidarity.
