Within the framework of the project “Dialogue Through Action: Today for Tomorrow”, last week we successfully implemented another joint activity – an ecological tree-planting action titled “A Green Vow for the Future”, which concluded our previous gatherings and environmental workshops with our friends from the Association “Najjača djeca Doboja.”

The activity was also joined by student volunteers from the Mixed Secondary School in Gračanica and Velika Brijesnica.

April, as a month dedicated to nature and the environment, provided an ideal opportunity for children and young people to send a joint message about the importance of protecting nature and maintaining a responsible attitude toward the environment.

Through the planting of fruit trees and flowers, the participants contributed to a cleaner and healthier environment, while also strengthening mutual friendship, trust, and understanding.

One of the volunteers stated: “Today’s gathering was very enjoyable – we planted trees and flowers, and we were welcomed with warm hugs that meant a lot to us because we were a bit nervous at first. Through the workshop, I realized how small things can make a big difference and how teamwork brings people closer together.”

During the event, certificates of appreciation were also awarded to participants who, through their engagement, made a significant contribution to environmental protection.

The project “Dialogue Through Action: Today for Tomorrow” is being implemented from February to October 2026 within the framework of the project “Dialogue for the Future 3 – DFF3,” carried out by UNDP, UNICEF, and UNESCO, in cooperation with the UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in partnership with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project is funded by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (PBF).
