Valuable Donation of Flour to the Public Kitchen in Doboj

Today in Doboj, the first shipment of aid from the Government of the Republic of Srpska was delivered to the Public Kitchen in Doboj. The donation consists of 25 tons of flour, which will significantly support the operation and functioning of the kitchen.

The handover ceremony was attended by Mišo Stojanović, Assistant Minister of Trade and Tourism, along with his associates, Dr. Jasmina Bukejlović, Vice President of the Red Cross of the Republic of Srpska, and representatives of MFS-EMMAUS.

In December 2024, the Government of the Republic of Srpska passed a resolution to donate goods from emergency Red Cross procurements. This includes 1,000 tons of flour, as well as certain quantities of canned food, oil, and sugar to support public kitchen users across the Republic of Srpska. The Red Cross of the Republic of Srpska is responsible for the distribution and coordination of this initiative, and today’s handover marks the beginning of the process.

The Public Kitchen in Doboj was established in May 2014 to assist the local population that suffered severe material losses due to floods.

Due to the ongoing needs of the local community, the project has continued over the years, and today, the kitchen provides daily meals to over 180 beneficiaries.
