DISTRIBUTION OF THE FOOD PACKAGES FOR THE LOCAL PEOPLE IN A FEW VILLAGES IN SREBRENICA

VILLAGES IN QUARANTINE EVEN BEFORE THE CORONA VIRUS

Whisper of the quiet lost souls undermined by the painful memory that rip with the sighs through gaps of destroyed villages and abandoned houses and it will remain for a long time as Srebrenica veto for free thoughts and attitudes. Although returnees, trapped in the place of free thinking, are often left to themselves, intermittent infrastructures and surrounded by minefields, and even twenty years after the war, they have the freedom to move with a dose of caution. They are under the caution when they cultivate the soil, pick up the fruits, when they bring drinking water, when they must pass the long way to   the city to take the pension and while their tired feet rub the snow in collecting firewood. Under the caution, under the watchful eye tomorrow, and so on from day today, while even the smallest hope lives like talons in a bereaved souls, live and hope for better,  they hope for truth and justice even they have reconciled with the fact that there will never be the same situation again. Although the elderly population obey preventive measures, the question is in which way corona virus can be scary for mothers in Srebrenica. Their only fear is to die and not find the bones of their children, to die and not whisper pray/ fatiha over the heads of the minor sons, to die and not to complete dream that they not spill warm tear over the green sheet, even if that was the last tear. We often support returnees in Srebrenica villages through various projects of assistance, apart from our project “Love for Mothers of Srebrenica” our mothers are included in many projects with a continuous assistance and support. Last week, food packages were distributed on a territory of the municipality of Srebrenica, especially to people in social need and elderly people with limited movements because of precautionary measures.  Donated packages are a sequel of the assistance to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, realized with the donation of the Turkish company “Cengiz Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret”
