Association ,,Humanitarian Organisation International forum of solidarity-Emmaus” Doboj Istok (IFS-EMMAUS) is a local NGO established in 1999 with the aim of providing assistance to vulnerable population groups. IFS-EMMAUS operates on the territory of all country since it numbers 260 employees, 50 active volunteers and network of offices in Doboj lstok, Sarajevo, Srebrenica and Zvornik. It represents one of the biggest auto sufficient NGOs in the country and wider.
Some of the projects that IFS-EMMAUS implements are: Reception Centre Duje in Doboj lstok (430), monthly scholarships for children without one or both parents across BH (1500), scholarships for 2994 children in Burkina Faso, Boarding school for children of Srebrenica in Potocari, Daily centres in Srebrenica, Zvornik and Doboj. Among other projects, IFS-EMMAUS runs a soup kitchen in Doboj where 230 meals are prepared on daily basis and supports sustainable projects, assists victims of human trafficking and illegal migrants, participates in projects related to prevention of children abuse through information and communication technologies, offers services to the elderly in the community, implements projects of assisted social accommodation and project of helping homeless youth through football.
