COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION OF THE CENTER FOR EDUCATION IN POTOČARI

NEW PREMISES FOR LEARNING AND CREATIVE EXPRESSION

The construction of the Educational Center in Potočari, within the IFS-EMMAUS Boarding Accommodation for children from rural areas of Srebrenica and its surroundings, has been completed. The idea of the project is to facilitate access to non-formal education and activities that will enhance their development and growing up. The construction of the Center will achieve these goals, because there, in new facility, children will have space for workshops, classrooms, a playroom, sports fields, a place to relax and have fun. IFS-EMMAUS and Foundation San Zeno, based in Verona, Italy, started their cooperation a year ago on the project of building a Center for Education in Potočari, as part of a Boarding Accommodation for children from rural areas of Srebrenica and its surroundings. Foundation San Zeno contributes to organizations and associations that support education, professional training and they are present on four continents: Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The idea for the San Zeno Foundation was born 1999, according to the will of an entrepreneur, Sandro Veronesi, president of the Calzedonia group. From then until today, they have been working in a way to be promoters of change, while they offer concrete opportunities for the improvement of the quality of studies, create opportunities for training young people as a form of preparation before employment. For the first time, San Zeno Foundation works and operates in BiH and with our Association. Our cooperation will continue at Center for Education and on projects aimed at the growing up and education of children from rural areas.
