One more valuable donation for IFS-EMMAUS from Proplan from Holland

Last week, the Dutch organization Stichting Proplan donated a lot of valuable equipment that will find its place in the Reception Center “Duje”. One of the most important items of this donation is certainly the ambulance vehicle that has a built-in ramp for disabled patients, which will greatly facilitate the transport of our beneficiaries to the nearby medical institutions. Therefore, it is important to mention that during one month, 50 to 60 transports are performed to the UCC Tuzla, the General Hospital in Gračanica as well as to the Health Center in Doboj Istok, where are according to necessity performed specialist examinations of our beneficiaries.

One more nice side of this story is that with the mentioned vehicle we will transport children from the Association of Parents, Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities “Futura” from Gračanica, whom we, for many years drive from family houses to associations and back by passenger van. The association “Futura” aims to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families, and we, as an organization strive to be their constant support in their work. Now, people who have not been able to visit the association so often due to the impossibility of transporting wheelchairs, will be able to socialize with their friends through a series of educational workshops.

We would like to thank the Proplan organization and its president Willem Pronk for this assistance, which will greatly facilitate the functioning of our Center and bring together young people from the Association “Futura” from Gračanica.
