OVER A HUNDRED SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN FROM AREAS AFFECTED BY FLOODING IN KONJIC WERE TREATED WITH GIFT PACKAGES AND CASH DONATIONS

At the end of last week, IFS-EMMAUS realized several distributions in the area of ​​the town of Konjic, where we delighted more than a hundred school-age children from the areas affected by the floods. Gift packages in the form of school supplies and backpacks, sweet packages and valuable cash vouchers were provided by the Memur-Sen trade union organization from Turkey in cooperation with the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of BiH as well as through our friendly organization IHH from Turkey.

In addition to these support packages for school-aged children as motivation for further work and learning, the inhabitants of the container settlement in Konjic were also pleased with white goods and electronic devices through trade union organizations. The inhabitants of this settlement, i.e. people who lost their homes in devastating floods, will most likely spend the winter in these few squares, and we hope that this technique will help them overcome the winter days as easily as possible and finally return to their new homes. During the distribution of this aid to high school students in the Hall of the City of Konjic, to students in Čelebići Elementary School, to students in Parsovići Elementary School, and to students in Seonica Elementary School, representatives of the Union of Trade Unions of Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the IHH organization, the mayor of Konjic, Mr. Osman Ćatić with associates and the director of IFS-EMMAUS, Mr. Hamzalija Okanović.
