On the area of 20 thousand square meters next to the IFS-EMMAUS farm in the village of Pale near Potočari, potatoes were planted for humanitarian purposes. The funds for the purchase of potatoes and fertilizers have been provided by the Turkish Red Crescent in BiH. Over 30 IFS-EMMAUS employees and Red Crescent volunteers have participated in this action. The red crescent has also provided the resources needed for the purchase of seeds and fertilizers needed for greenhouse production in the Reception Center Duje.
In it’s goal of self-sustainability, IFS-EMMAUS has been cultivating diverse vegetables and fruits for many years in the project “Solidarity Economy”, thus facilitating the feeding of its beneficiaries both in the Reception Center Duje, Boarding accommodation in Potocari, Srebrenica and Soup Kitchen in Doboj.
