Yesterday, IFS-EMMAUS in cooperation with the organization Stichting Proplan from Netherland, handed over a valuable donation of food products to the School for Secondary Professional Education and Training in Sarajevo. The products are intended for the school kitchen to feeding students.
The school educates and trains students aged 15 to 21 for less complex professions (painter, cook, florist, bookbinder, advertising graphic artist, assistant decorator …)
It is designed in a way that within all existing occupations, students are educated and trained for I degree (assistant decorator), II degree (three-year education) and III degree (four-year education). This type of programs can be followed by students for whom the programs of other schools are for particular reason inadequate or too difficult (students from regular schools who have difficulties in mastering the provided material), as well as students with developmental disabilities, which include combined disabilities, intellectual disabilities, disorders from autism spectrum, etc.
Here we have really seen real heroes without prejudices, who intend to balance the overall situation in society and do the right thing for children and young people who need help more than anything. This donation is a form of support for their work and was handed over symbolically on the International Children’s Rights Day. In the coming period, we will support this school institution as well as hundreds of others who need help.
