The 14th Emmaus – International Youth Working Camp ended today in Potocari near Srebrenica, where about 70 young people from about ten countries took part. This year, the main activity of the camp was the construction of the Center for the Elderly individuals in Potocari and assistance to the local population, as well as participation in projects implemented by IFS-EMMAUS in the Srebrenica municipality, such as “Love for the Mothers of Srebrenica” and “One Meal a Day”. Mirela Ahmetbegović, Coordinator of the 14th Emmaus – International Youth Working Camp in Potocari, says that another camp has been successfully completed and that it is most important that everyone is satisfied and has positive impressions from Srebrenica. “I am very pleased that the camp has returned people who have participated in the past years as this is a camp where lifelong friendships are made. We have implemented all the activities we have planned and are very pleased, ” said Mirela. In addition to work activities for young people there were also fun, educational, cultural and tourist activities, all with the aim of socializing, making new friends and skills. All participants were given certificates with an invitation to join us next year when we will mark the 15th anniversary of the camp for youth people.
