Beneficiaries of the Day Care Center in Doboj Istok marked the coming Eid al-Fitr with an appropriate program

As the end of Ramadan – the month of fasting – was approaching, Muslims all over the world were preparing for Eid al-Fitr, the “holiday of the end of fasting”, and yesterday our little ones at the Day Care Center evoked the spirit of this holiday in a special way.

With the help of the legacy of a long-time IFS-EMMAUS friend of r. Habib Džananović, we collected antiques and recreated a traditional Bosnian room inside the Center.

Thanks to our hardworking volunteers, we have acquired traditional Bosnian costumes to complement the traditional spirit of Eid, and with delicious Bosnian cakes, story, dance and song, we celebrated Eid with performances.

The children received Eid gifts from the Osmančićević family and an anonymous donor, to whom we are extremely grateful.

In addition to preserving the cultural heritage, it was an ideal opportunity to approach the socialization of children in this way and give a special touch to their emotional development, which they really enjoyed.

Through this workshop, children were educated about religious customs, traditions and values ​​associated with the Eid al-Fitr.

We created a special atmosphere that the children really enjoyed.

Laughter, joy, mutual respect and a sense of community with our employees and volunteers of the Day Care Center created valuable memories for the children that they will surely remember for a long time.
