CELEBRATED WORLD HEART DAY AT THE RECEPTION CENTER “DUJE”

On the occasion of the World Heart Day, a presentation on prevention of heart diseases was organized for our beneficiaries today at the Reception Center “Duje”, where we, among other things introduced them with the basics of heart anatomy.

In a year 2016, 17.9 million people died from cardiovascular diseases worldwide. It is estimated that, by the year 2030, cardiovascular disease will be the cause of death for 30 million people globally.

There are many risk factors on we can influence and control it in order to prevent cardiovascular disease or prevent worsening medical condition and complications such as; smoking, physical inactivity, bad eating habits, overweight, high blood pressure, continued exposure to stress, air pollution and environmental pollution.

Although the Reception Center “Duje” count a significant number of patients in this category, this place is known as one of the ideal locations for acommodation patients with cardiovascular diseases, it is often compared to air spa due to Center location. That is why it is very important to raise awareness about these diseases among our beneficiaries.
