Dutch Ambassador in BiH Reinout Vos visited IFS-EMMAUS office in Srebrenica

Yesterday, the IFS-EMMAUS office in Srebrenica was visited by the Dutch Ambassador in BiH Reinot Vos and got acquainted in more detail with our humanitarian activities that we are implementing in Srebrenica and Potočari, as well as on the entire territory of BiH. The delegation was received on behalf of IFS-EMMAUS by the head of the Sector for Development and Strategic Planning- Lejla Smajić and the representative of the Foundation “Proplan” in BiH Rasim Lemezović.

The Ambassador used the opportunity to visit the construction site in Potočari, where IFS-EMMAUS, in cooperation with the Dutch organization “Proplan” is building a Center for the Elderly. Reinout expressed great support and interest for our work, especially in the ideas and realization of the construction of the Center that would bring this region closer to European integration and create ideal conditions for life, especially for the elderly population who were left alone without close relatives.

The center will serve the purpose as the reception center for old and disabled people from this area, primarily for all mothers of Srebrenica who lost their dearest family members in the past war and who are beneficiaries of our project “Love for mothers of Srebrenica”. The realization of this project is also financially supported by our friendly organization “Proplan” from the Netherlands, led by Willem Pronk.
