IFS-EMMAUS supported implemetation of the Project “Family Strengthening in SOS Children’s Villages”, Goražde

Last week, IFS-EMMAUS supported Project Family Strengthening as part of the celebration “Children’s Week”. The project was implemented within the cooperation SOS Childrens Villages and the Public Institution Center for Social Work of BPC Goražde which is based on socializing partners who work on family strengthening, including parents and children in the first place.

The gathering was organized outdoors, at the picnic area Bijele Vode, where were organized various activities, and the goal was to encourage children to play sports and, in that way, point out the importance of playing sports exclusively in function of the health, enjoying in play and movement, developing not only their physical and psychomotor abilities than also positive personality traits.

Through joint play and socializing, we pointed out respect for the Rights of the Child and the importance of the family in this process, all that with the aim on protecting children and strengthening their families.

In the end, the Mayor of Goražde, Muhamed Ramović joined children, where he greeted them and together with children commented about all the rights of children guaranteed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Ultimately, this gathering showed how teamwork is important in promoting human rights and how much we can and how much all of us should contribute to that process.
