Today was heavy. Visiting the Srebrenica Memorial and sitting with the mothers who lost their sons reminded me what it looks like to grieve with grace — their resilience, their acceptance of Allah’s Will, and their compassionate smiles carried more strength than words ever could. May Allah SWT have mercy on the souls of the martyrs, reunite them with their mothers in Al Firdaws Al A’la, and grant us the honor of always carrying and sharing their story. Allahumma Ameen.
Dignity is not just about what we give — it’s about how we allow people to show up.
Today, we prepared and delivered meals to the beneficiaries here in Bosnia, and what moved us most was witnessing each person received with full honor — supported with what they needed, and where possible, given the agency to make choices for themselves. This is what it looks like to truly live the words of Allah SWT in Surah Al-Isra: “Verily, We have dignified the children of Adam.”
The beauty in the art shines soley at the moment when the beauty from the heart becomes the masterpiece.
