Signing of the Protocol on cooperation in cases of violence against children and young people in the digital environment

Starting from the fact that prevention of violence against children is of general social interest and the best way to protect every child; Bearing in mind that all forms of violence against children are degrading; Considering the consequences that any form of violence against children leaves on the growth, development and upbringing of the child; In order to promote and strengthen mutual cooperation in protecting the child from all forms of violence, abuse or neglect.

Safe Internet Center – Hotline in BiH, run by the International Solidarity Forum – EMMAUS, and the Federal Ministry of the Interior – The Federal Police Directorate has today signed a protocol on cooperation in cases of violence against children and young people in the digital environment.

The main purpose of the signing of this Protocol is to promote social care and protection of the child and to provide the necessary assistance in all situations where the child is exposed to some form of violence or abuse, in such a way as to ensure an adequate and timely response by the competent institutions and services.

The subject of this Cooperation Protocol is to regulate the mutual relations and responsibilities and procedures of action between the Federal Police Directorate and the Safe Internet Center in receiving, analyzing and submitting online reports of identified child sexual abuse cases to the Federal Police Directorate for further action, as well as mutual cooperation in protecting children and young people in a digital environment.
