WE ARE LEFT WITHOUT ANOTHER PETAL OF SREBRENICA FLOWER

SHE FELL BUT WE WILL CARRY HER IN OUR THOUGHTS WHILE WE LIVE AND WHILE WE WALK THROUGH BOSNIA COUNTRY

IFS-EMMAUS-LOVE FOR THE MOTHERS OF SREBRENICA

It is very difficult for us to write about our mothers from Srebrenica who passed away and left us. On Sunday, we accompanied Nura Alispahić to a better world. Indeed, they are our mothers, our sisters, our strength and an example of how one man should fight even when they pull your heart out. It’s hard for us but we have to remind all of us and that’s why we write and talk about this. If we stop talking or if we talk only when July approaches, we will move from grief to ritual, from ritual to oblivion, but there will be wound that will remain to hurt us and worry us. Mother Nura, whose heart was killed many times but she defied the earthly forces, fighting for justice to enter the great gates and be the foundation of everything we must not forget, because of those who got hurt from the hands leaded by evil ideals we will not even mention, because it is bitter taste in mouth and blush from even mentioning. A lot of our mothers still haven’t found their children’s bones, some of them have passed away in anticipation of the call and hope that something has been found at least, but in vain. They usually say that black earth tells the truth but we are afraid it will be too late for most of our mothers. As they say, they will find their peace when they raise their hands above their children’s graves. How painful a soul must be that can find peace in such a way, when she does not know where to turn herself while calling the Fatiha so it becomes her only desire to find out. How sick mind can produce so much pain, deliberately, systematically, in an organized and systematic way, solves thousands of families as if erasing someone’s life with an eraser.

Beside the late Nura Alispahić, who lost two sons and a husband in the war, and a daughter shortly after the war, four other mothers who were beneficiaries of our project “Love for the Mothers of Srebrenica” recently passed away: Alija Bektić ( lost one son and husband in a war), Tihara Mehmedović, Fata Lolić (lost her husband in a war) and Nura Begović (two brothers were killed in a war). Each of these mothers has a special place in our hearts and a particularly sad story that we will remember and remember for generations to come, so that Srebrenica never happen to anyone again. May eternal mercy be upon your suffered souls. We hope only for once, that somewhere up there, your and your children’s souls gather as they were once, while you lived carefree with them our dear MOTHERS.
