SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY FOR ELDERLY POPULATION

This project involves home care with the goal of providing the open form of protection and in accordance with the basic living needs, provide health care for semi-mobile, immobile, seriously ill and disabled people, in whichit is possible to provide medical care and home help in order to prevent institutionalization. And therefore are alsorealized frequent visits from our psychologist and physiotherapist from the Reception Center “Duje”.

In addition to the above, support for beneficiaries in thematerial sense such as: buying firewood for winter, furniture, white goods, distribution of food packages, and other things necessary for life was not missing.

This project has been implemented by IFS-EMMAUS since 2015 and today there are 35 beneficiarie from the area of Doboj Istok, Gračania and Doboj. There are clear tendencies to increase the number of beneficiaries as well as to expand the places of operation to other cantons.

Thanks to the selfless assistance of donors who continuously follow our work and activities of the project “Home care”, for several beneficiaries were also organized purchases of basic foodstuffs according to established individual needs of each beneficiary of the project.

Very often, for beneficiaries we organize different meetings and we gather them in a pleasant atmosphere, barbecue and entertainment, so that their single everyday life at least momentarily changes the routine and in that way psychologically positive influence on their mood.
